Hey everyone! The past few months there is a new trend in the freelancer industry. I am getting clients that are helping a friend with their Resume. I don't mind doing this for new clients however; I am concerned and trying to figure out the best way to be successful in these situations. On Upwork, I have had three clients in a row and everything worked out well because of the messenger app both people were able to contact me. I usually do a 30 minute consultation by phone or live chat or in person locally. So, I need to figure out how to do a three way call or what is called a "conference call". I am going to look into using an affordable phone service or web service for the conference calls. Also, for a local in-person consultation should both parties attend or just one of them? Hey fans! I have had a lot of recent clients in the Marion, IL area. I decided to designate a place to meet up with new clients over there so they don't have to come all the way to Carbondale. This will save them gas and time. My designated place is at the Subway inside Marion Walmart. The reason is because the bus from Carbondale drops off there and because there is WiFi. In the back there are some more quiet, private tables and there is a plug in so I could plug in my computer. This is a public place. A recent male client was concerned about his safety here in Carbondale. So, after giving some thought I decided to make the Marion Walmart a place where I can meet up with clients from Marion. I am not able to get all the way up to Franklin County or Mt. Vernon easily. So those clients, I could either meet at the Marion location or somewhere in Carbondale. Hello everyone! I just wanted to let everyone know I am updating my Weebly website tonight and over the next few days. I have just edited the Welcome page and temoved the external blog site button for our GoDaddy site. The site is still there but I am trying to keep everything relevant on each page. I will post the button for that site on a blog post separately later today. I also just re-ordered my pages on the site to make things easier for the visitor. I revised the refund policy page. I need to still revise my story page and add a new page (as if there arent enough pages) about my process and a page that shows the client agreement. I just printed out copies at Staples of my client agreement for those who want it. Also printed out a Resume Information sheet for those who dont have a current Resume.
